The traditional method of connecting to the Internet involves obtaining a username and password from an Internet Service Provider. That's acceptable for individual users, but what if a company needs to provide Internet access to a large number of staff, and account for individual usage at the same time? SmartDial enables organisations to manage their own username and passwords, usually linked to an existing Windows domain in their office.Staff are provided with Internet phone numbers that connect to Internet dial-in modems. Incoming calls are password-validated against the organisation's server. A record of each call (start and stop) is also relayed.
